Red dot sights (RDS) on pistols isn't a new concept, but has gained popularity quickly over the recent years. RDS equipped pistol have become the new standard for duty use, concealed carry, and competitive shooting. With a structured curriculum set in a progressive format, you will accelerate your understanding and increase your ability to use an RDS equipped pistol with speed and precision. This course will give you the skills required to utilize an RDS equipped pistol effectively and efficiently. Topics Covered: -Safety -Zeroing Red Dot Sights -Red Dot Pistol Fundamentals -Drawing from a Holster -One-handed Shooting -Malfunctions/Remedial Action -Reloads -Shooting Positions & Considerations -Target Transitions -Reactive vs. Predictive shooting -Alternate Aiming Solutions -RDS Maintenance Equipment Needed: -Pistol with RDS -400 rounds of ammunition -3 Magazines (minimum) -Belt/Chest Rig/Plate Carrier -Eye & Ear Protection -Weapon Cleaning Materials NOTE: Minimum 4 students to hold the course.
