Course Overview

If you carry a pistol for duty or concealed carry, chances are you will find yourself in a lowlight/ night time environment more often than you think. When the time comes, it's good to have the knowledge and skills to employ a handgun in lowlight environments effectively and safely to give you the edge. This course is designed to provide the critical knowledge and skill to increase your ability to utilize a pistol in lowlight environments when time and safety are critical. Topics Covered: -Safety -Pistol Fundamentals -WML vs. Handheld Lights -One-handed Shooting -Lighting Principles -Target ID -Handheld Lighting Techniques -Malfunctions/Remedial Action -Reloads -Shooting from Cover -Target Transitions -Light Equipment/Considerations Equipment Needed: -Pistol -400 rounds of ammunition -3 Magazines (minimum) -Handheld Light (required)** -Weapon Light (optional) -Belt/Chest Rig/Plate Carrier -Eye & Ear Protection -Weapon Cleaning Materials NOTE: Minimum 4 students to hold the course.
